The Golden Year of 1997

Three days ago, Li Fan's mother, Yao Meng, tragically took her own life after enduring years of domestic abuse from Li Fan's father, Li Yongchang, and falling into debt from high-interest loans. Soon after, Li Fan is unexpectedly thrown back to 1997 in a sudden car accident. In a massage parlor in the red-light district, Li Fan wakes up and confirms that he has traveled back in time, realizing this through the young version of his father, Li Yongchang, and the calendar in front of him. After calming down, he realizes that his mother, Yao Meng, has not yet married Li Yongchang. Determined to save his mother from a lifetime of misery, he decides to prevent their marriage from happening.
