Marie gives up her offer from a top football academy in London to marry Luke, only to discover on their wedding night that he has been cheating with her stepsister. After being drugged and disoriented, Marie unexpectedly stumbles into another event, where she meets Jude Larson, a UEFA Champions League-winning footballer who has just joined the New York Football Club.
